But upon further enhancement, it appears in the sky between the hill and the camera, not beyond the hill. The Reds said it didn't come from the stadium because Tuesday's game was long over by 11:30 p.m., so no fireworks would have been ready to fire. "A UFO, that's what I'll call it. That's my official decree, official judgment," Regas joked.

(Originally posted by Raymond J. Brune in 2009.) I did some trimming around the music and left as much up as possible with these old school bloopers and ads, many with a younger Jerry Springer and Toria Tolley-Hammill (who was later on CNN in the 90s). -Jeff Hirsh jumping from one shot to another, looks like a green area in front of a hospital or office building? -Jerry dancing at the anchor desk. -Norma saying "Oh God what I do for a living" -Hirsch throwing a gavel up towards his face -Two clips of Toria Tolley outside the Crosley Square studio -Someone riding a motorized scooter into the newsroom -Jerry in some kind of meeting with someone teasing him about their competitors (i.e. "We hate 9! We hate 12!") -in sunglasses at his cubicle talking about "the green stuff" (money) -A fireman being accidentally drug off the street into the grass with a cord? -Elementary school girl accidentally walks into the camera -Two clips of Jeff Hirsch, first outside City Hall with his cameraman behind him while he was signing off a story, and stuttering on a story about Home State Bank. -Clyde Gray doing a funny voice going "Hey boss, it was an accident!" -John London and his crewman pulling along the cord out in the field. -Jerry interviewing Pat Barry and another lady "the funniest story I've ever covered." -Pat on a weather forecast when a huge video of Pete Rose unexpectedly comes over the map. -London gets inside a trash can! -Steve Physioc getting tongue tied on sports. -Flying a toy helicopter around the newsroom, and a toy car under a desk, with sound effects and all! -Jerry (with messy hair) saying he cares about "People who watch Channel 5". -Clyde Gray saying "That's Amore!" in two clips. -London yawning -Judy Alsobrooks in a residential neighborhood trying many times to say something correctly, a cameraman comes into frame joking around about "That wasn't it, but this might be it!" -Promo with the reporters getting those facial booth effects with the tagline "Because You Deserve Something More!" -Amazing Stories parody ad. -Jung People's Specials (takeoff on "young people's specials" at the time) where a news producer has to come up with the perfect reel tape in time. -Lifestyles of the Rich Compared to Most South Americans (takeoff on "rich and famous") and a meeting with news producers. -Jerry Springer Sings? K-Tel parody ad with a clip of "Save the Union Terminal" he did on City Council in 1973 (even before mayor) and retitled versions of oldies rock songs relating to stories he did or things about him, plus singing "White Christmas" regularly and in a deep Jewish accent. -Outtakes with Jerry and Toria at the desk joking about their new news director Tom Kuelbs and his usual co-anchor Norma who was on vacation, and how they liked the new choice, and singing another line of White Christmas in his Jewish voice. -Pictures of them on set, including a dude picking his nose on the TV monitor and Jerry flexing with epic sounding music. 1983, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, Throwback, Old School, Crosley Square, Vintage, Retro.

Chinese farmers were digging a well in a rural area of Xi'an, China in 1974 when they came across pieces of what appeared to be ceramic armor. No one knew what it was at first.  Turns out, the farmers had discovered more than 8,000 clay soldiers standing guard at the tomb of Emperor Qin Shihuang. It would become one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.  Known today as the Terracotta Army, the soldiers are part of Emperor Qin's intricate necropolis that encompasses more than 20 square miles.

The two cases, along with another suspected case, occurred on UC’s West Campus within the past two weeks, according to an email from Kim L. Miller, executive director of University Health Services. WEST END, Ohio (WKRC) – The fight is far from over for opponents of an FC Cincinnati soccer stadium in the West End, despite a deal the team struck with Cincinnati Public Schools on Tuesday. Outside Taft High School, a crowd of residents and activists chanted “Go home FC Cincinnati.” "It's time that we stand up together. This is happening in Avondale, it's happening in Walnut Hills. The common factor is its black people, its brown people, its poor folks,” said Mona Jenkins. Gentrification is one reason residents don’t want a soccer stadium going up where Stargel Stadium currently sits. The first vice president of the Cincinnati branch of the NAACP, Joe Mallory agrees. “In 10 years, this community will look totally different than it does today. The property taxes will increase. Rents will increase. People will be displaced. Jeff Berding, team president said no one will be displaced,” said Mallory. The Cincinnati branch of the NAACP voted last month opposing the stadium being placed in the West End. Contina Davis is the vice president of the Liberty Street Apartments Residents Council. She’s been at countless meetings about the stadium for months. From the beginning, she’s stood with her neighbors in opposition of the stadium being built in the West End. “We voted no and the vote should count, the vote should stand. That’s with the school board, city council, and guess what, our neighbors did too,” said Davis. The West End Community Council and the OTR Neighborhood council also voted against a stadium. The people’s voices are loud and clear but all signs point to a stadium coming to the West End. "Are you surprised that John Cranley, Jeff Berding and oh I hate to say it PG Sittenfeld are not listening to you today,” said Cincinnati City Council member Wendell Young. Now that CPS has made its deal, and the CMHA has made its deal, City Council is the last hurdle locally for FC Cincinnati to build a stadium in the West End. They’re expected to vote next week on the development deal. As of right now, it appears at least four council members are prepared to vote yes. Five are needed for it to pass. Even if that passes, FC Cincinnati still must earn a franchise from Major League Soccer. MLS owners are expected to meet on April 17th.
